Are we having a 'Blockhead'?

Since our previous post, the internet has been experiencing what the techoncrats refer to as "buzz". An off-hand comment questioning Bean's resemblance to Charlie Brown has spawned worldwide debate amongst both Peanuts scholars and enthusiats alike.

Does this mean the second coming of Charles Schultz? Will hellfire soon rain from a sky darkened by flying doghouses? Will the voices of school teachers sound like trumpets in a world seemingly devoid of parents? There hasn't been this much wonder and anticipation since the image of Pigpen was burned into a tortilla in South Redondo.

The staff here at Bean Blog doesn't portend to know all the answers. We merely offer up a steaming pile of food for thought. Bon Appetit.

Bean Fever - Contract it!

Bean Fever - Contract it!

As you've all been anxiously awaiting the newest Bean post, we could feel a certain electricity in the air. Yes, it's Bean Fever. From coast to coast and all points in between, the outbreak has ballooned to epidemic proportions. Bird Flu was just a passing fad, but The Fever is here to stay.

Much like a gargantuan Anna Nicole Smith disappeared from the limelight only to resurface lean and fit, the little Bean has undergone many changes since his last public appearance. With the giant cranium and tiny appendages, he is reminiscent of a young Charlie Brown with everything to prove. Or perhaps a mellon on a toothpick. Whatever your take, don't fight the bean fever. Embrace it.
